About Me
Hi, I'm Michael Gatti. With a decade of hands-on experience in direct support and a lifelong passion for working with individuals with disabilities, I bring a unique perspective to my work. This passion started to develop early on in my life when my brother Jon was born with Down Syndrome. That influence continues to shape my commitment to making a difference in this field and in the lives of individuals, families, and agencies I work alongside.
My background includes extensive experience across various settings, from 24-hour residential care homes to in-home support, as well as time spent as an aide in special education classrooms throughout my school career. This diverse history allows me to bring a well-rounded approach and perspective to training Direct Support Professionals, navigating conversations with families, and working together to provide the best care for the people we love.
Creativity and a friendly, relaxed style are central to my approach, ensuring that my solutions are both innovative and practical. Whether I am training a DSP, talking with a family, or just trying to better understand this world, my goal is always to let empathy and collaboration lead the way.
Outside of work, I love taking Polaroid photos as part of a passion project of mine called One Big Art Story. For almost 3 years now, this project has encouraged and allowed me to capture the world in a way like nothing else in my life has. Several of the photos include my brother, ideas related to the work I do, and funny stories that have influenced the approach I bring. You can see those on the Polaroids page of this site!
My mission is to empower individuals, families, and organizations with tailored solutions and new perspectives that drive meaningful change, while bridging the gaps that are often overlooked in Direct Care. Let's connect and explore how we can collaborate to achieve your goals and positively impact your life, and the lives of those you care about most!
